Cyclone Gonu

As usual when I plan to go to Fujariah some form of Shamal / Sandstorm almost always hits the UAE. This weekend is no exception, planned a trip to Sandy Beach this weekend and a bloody cyclone warning gets issued. Fujariah is flooded and its on its way toward Dubai.

'A powerful cyclone is passing near the Gulf state of Oman, bringing heavy rains to the capital, Muscat. Tropical Cyclone Gonu is continuing north-west, but winds speeds have dropped to about 100mph.'

It might hit Dubai in the form of a slight bit of rain and a strong breeze, hopefully it'll cool this place down a bit.
